Bill Belew has raised 2 bi-cultural kids, now 34 and 30. And he and his wife are now parenting a 3rd, Mia, who is 8.

Daddy says that America is an amazing place.

No where else in the world will people pay you to take away your junk.

That’s right. People put up signs GARAGE SALE.

I think garage means junk. Or the place where people keep their junk.

When the sale happens, people come and give the house owner money and carry the junk away for them!

Only in America, says daddy.

Here’s what I know – what some people MIGHT call a trinket, my daddy thinks is a treasure.

Daddy has to travel sometimes.  I don’t mind because when he is gone I can sleep in his bed and keep mommy warm.

Treasures and Trinkets

Treasures and Trinkets

When daddy leaves, I share with him some of my treasures to keep in his pocket so he won’t forget me.

“How could I ever forget you!?”

He he he.

It makes a little girl’s heart all warm and fuzzy to know her daddy will carry her treasures and trinkets all over the world and bring them back safely to me.

What do you give your daddy to carry with him when he has to travel and you can’t go with him?

I wonder … what is the weight limit for his bags? Maybe next time I will ….
