Silicon Valley is the place to be if you want to make a lot of money, provided you can get the job, go to a great school, provided you can get in or just chill because you are close to the beach, provided you can get to Santa Cruz.
Techies make a lot of money. But so do lawyer dudes, and dudettes.
Especially lawyers in high-demand practice areas.
They are:
1. healthcare
2. litigation
3. commercial law.
In 2013, lawyers made from $118K – 172K!.
In 2014, the salaries are expected to jump to $124K – 179K.

It will be totally interesting to read this post in 10, 15 or 20 years – AFTER I know what these numbers mean.
At large firms, attorneys will make $174K – 264K!
Let’s see, I used $12 from my piggy bank to buy a Frozen Anna doll the last time we went to Disneyland.
For $264K I could buy 22,000 dolls!
That number is too big. If I were to play with one doll every day, then throw it away and get a new one each day after that, it would take me 60 years to play with all of them!
Yikes, that means my daddy could have started when he was born and he still wouldn’t be done yet. (Next Christmas he’d finish).
