Growing up bi-culturally as a Chinese American

Bi-cultural Chinese American Mia Mei

Hi, I am Mia Mei, alias M&M, Dawgie, knucklehead, sweety, Gundam, puchi puchi, Mimi and a bunch of other things.

I am Chinese-American. And I am learning what that means and have written a bit about my experiences growing up here.

My mommy and daddy love me and from them I learn to love life.

I aim to make the world a better place and I am starting here and now.

Read about my daddy. He’s my editor. You can also meet my mommy…kind of.

You can also read my first book – By Cows Who Chew Lilies.

Come on! Buy it! You know you want to. It’s only $2.99.

I will save the money for college, I promise. Won’t I daddy?

Fast forward about nine years and things have changed in my life. That happens you know.

I am now a 6th grader and I really love to read. I love to read so much that I have run out of things that I like to read. Oh, there are a lot more books to read for sure. But not the kind I want to read or perhaps not the ones I want to read. You know … kiss-y, love-y. Yuck! At least, not yet.

So … in the summer between finishing my 5th grade at the elementary school I attended and moving up to the 6th grade in a new school, my daddy and I decided to write our own book!

We did. We did. That’s what my blog is about now … our new book … and maybe other books we might right. But for now – The Giant Forest – Chapter Book for Preteens (Ages 9 -12) Who Love to Read.

Please take a look. And if you don’t, well that’s okay, too. My daddy and I had a blast writing it.
