I am hanging out in Chicago this week watching a university conference swim championship that my son is participating in. Sorry about that plug for my boy.

They put complimentary USA TODAYS outside our room each day.

I thought I would enjoy reading about how things are going on in the USA…Grey’s Anatomy spin-offs, American Idol was number one and number two this week. (Though I have never even seen one of the episodes. I wonder what I am missing that the rest of the USA thinks is a must see.)

Then, I read a short dialog about global warming and sure enough…I finally came across something PanAsian….It’s India and China’s fault. They are relying too much on fossil fuels and are emitting way too much CO2 into the air.

Personally, I think global warming activists are mostly alarmists, the scientists who ‘support’ them are special interest and need the funding, a big business is making an outright killing by preaching ‘the sky is falling.’

Who has the most to gain – those who say ‘the sky is falling?’ or those who respond ‘what hole in the roof?’ The answer to that question will speak volumes.

At any rate, China and India are indeed using up a lot of fossil fuels. Alternative energy sources should be sought out and used. Go, China! For trying to build up its nuclear power reliance….India, too.

Global warming…I sure can’t feel it here in Chicago and I am an absolute certain a bunch of frozen Americans in the midwest and northeast have their doubts.

So, who do you think has the most gain in the short term for preaching global warming alarmism?
