Bill Belew has raised 2 bi-cultural kids, now 34 and 30. And he and his wife are now parenting a 3rd, Mia, who is 8.
The price was $3.05/gal at Rotten Robbie’s where I filled my car up last night.
This morning I read a chart in the paper.
To fill up a Ford Expedition it will cost about $85.30 and will take you about 420 miles.
To fill up a Dodge Ram 1500 Pickup you will need to pony up $79-$106 and you will travel about 500 miles.
To fill up a Hummer get ready to shell out more than $70 and come back every 400 miles!
For a BMW 325i, you probably don’t care how much it costs…but just for reference $52.75 every 380 miles.
A Cooper Mini is not so mini at the gas pumps, needing around $44 every 380 miles.
On the other hand, a Prius needs just (Did I say just?) $36 and a repeat performance every 650 miles.
Do you want to save money at the gas pump? Do you want to stop pumping (pun intended) money into the profit margin of the giant oil companies?
Then, buy a Japanese car. That will be even more trouble for Ford and GM, eh?
What do you think?
Oh, and I paid about $33 to fill up my little Corolla.
How much do you pay?
About $25 to fill up the old Saturn sedan. We’re spoiled here in Utah – the gas is “only” about $2.50 to $2.80 a gallon.
Bill, you’ve got me thinking our next car maybe should be a Japanese hybrid!
Okay, Easton. I am officially eating my heart out…
Did I say I was envious of paying $2.50/ gallon?
It was $3.09 for the cheap stuff today.
yup gas is guna be like that for awhile get usto it haha but hey u wanna drive u got to to fill her yup
it takes $45 to fill up my 93 camry depending on were i go
Thanks, Johnny.
You are right, we have to pay for what we want.
