Bill Belew has raised 2 bi-cultural kids, now 34 and 30. And he and his wife are now parenting a 3rd, Mia, who is 8.

Blogging is the king of social media , it’s not me who say this but is a proven fact that blogging is really the king of social media other than many others out there. For the past few weeks, I have been enrolled in a class of marketing with social media at my silicon valley university under the good guidance of professor Bill Belew. He is one of the master bloggers in the field of blogging and has been a blogger past eight long years and achieved a lot from it. For the past few weeks he has been immensely helpful to us and made us understand the concept of blogging in many different ways. Starting from the first day of class he has taught many new concepts in each new week and had given examples about how to use those to make our blogs run and help us make a good blogger . The few tips which have been provided for him from the past few weeks are which worked out wonders for our website. He used them to boost confidence in ourselves and help build our website step by step .

The following steps he made us follow in his classes week after week turned out to be true and effective,

  1. Initially on the first week he emphasized on Writing and helped us know how to promote our blogs, and in return generate traffic.
  2. On the second week he wanted us to write more and more which made us think that blogging was going to be boring, at this point of time he gave us ideas to stay motivated at blogging and wait for the results.
  3. As weeks passed by he made us realize about the facts and the pace at which one should blog  daily to stay ahead in the line towards reaching our goals.
  4. Along the end of the fourth weeks he made us all realize what were the facts which one should have considered before  even starting to blog their first post and what he considered the question one should have answers before starting a new blog.
  5. So as the weeks passed by we took his each and every tip under consideration and keeping them in mind and wrote blogs. The results were much less than expected and we started loosing hope. At this point he let us realize that just by writing posts on and on one cannot generate good traffic , it is the Titles that have a very important role to play on every post. If the titles are catchy then one can easily like reading them and follow you.

At the end of every week of the classes after taking his new tips and working on them we even had to write about our finding in the form of guest posts on his website which was really exciting to share about us and the knowledge we gained from his suggestion. So each week I used to write about my experience which I gained from his posts and backlinks them back to my posts which I wrote on my website . So In the second week I wrote about promoting my blogs and writing new posts on day to day basis. On the third week all I felt was I was out of topics and then I wrote about my views on staying motivated towards my blog and what made be continue blogging . Then on the fourth week I again read about his blogging pace and that made me pen down my own pace towards blogging and passion towards it.  So after nearly one month there were many questions to be asked about the thing I have been doing for the past one month and they are gonna really yield results , so after reading his blog came my set of question which I should have answers to before I started blogging and felt something good about blogging. Till that point my website had started showing results . The results were few but I felt encouraged and started writing on a daily basis. At this point he told us to emphasis on titles and content so I wrote about few different ways to create better titles for my post. . At least at the end of the seventh week we are again gonna meet the blogger king Dr Bill Belew  at one of our classes and this time gain some really good tips to promote our blogging skills to the next level. Till then stay tuned and happy blogging.

Talk to Bill and others about their experiences raising bi-cultural Japanese-American kids.
