Bill Belew has raised 2 bi-cultural kids, now 34 and 30. And he and his wife are now parenting a 3rd, Mia, who is 8.
So, do tax dudes sit around at the end of the year and set goals for collecting taxes in the coming year? Apparently so.
Beijing customs reports that it has already surpassed its goal in tax revenue for this year.
The goal of $2.8 billion) was surpassed by the end of September – up 40% over last year.
Total foreign trade for the first three-quarters of this year was $41.4 billion also up over 40% on last year.
Imports almost reached $25 billion – up 43.6%.
The imported products were primarily, IT products, mobile phone accessories, communication equipment and spare parts for cars.
Beijing-made integrated circuits, pc monitors and garments grew.
I never thought of this benefit to Beijing – the more trade that occurs the more customs tax that is collected.
Yet, another reason to increase the trade between China and the world, eh?
What do you think?
