Parents Need a Time Out

One preventable kind of abusive parenting causes health problems in children when they are older.

Preventable = something can be done.

Health problems = biological changes take place in kids when they are abused and it affects their health when they are older.

Children who are not loved, do not get enough affection, are treated coldly when they are little grow up to have health problems.

There might be a connection between being unloved and the mental strain it causes to the little guy and having physical problems: high blood pressure, bad cholesterol and so on.

Children who are loved have a lower risk of having things go wrong with them later.

Wow!

More hugs? Love? Attention? Kindness? Caring?

That’s all I need to have a lower chance of having something major go wrong with me later in life?

“Doc, I don’t feel well.”

“Go home and get some hugs from your daddy.”

“Doc, I think I am coming down with something.”

“Go home and give your mommy a big hug and kiss.”

I can’t believe people have a bigger chance of getting sick just because their mommies and daddies didn’t love them enough when they were little.

Me? I am loved so much I am going to turn out super pooper healthy.
