Bill Belew has raised 2 bi-cultural kids, now 34 and 30. And he and his wife are now parenting a 3rd, Mia, who is 8.
We have had so many many famous people come to our house I cannot begin to count them.
I can’t even remember who all the people were that came to my house … and famous people, too!
Who is the most famous person you want to come visit you?
A movie star?
An athlete?
A singer?
A dancer?
A president?
A scientist?
A writer?
An animal?
Who do you want to visit your house? And play with you? Or talk to you? Have dinner with you? Teach you? Read to you?
I have all of these kinds of people come to my house. All the time.
In fact, they will come to my house almost anytime I ask them to.
It’s easy to get them to come.
How do I do it?
Pretend. That’s how. I pretend.
I can close my eyes for a moment, sometimes I don’t even need to close my eyes, I just imagine they are there and sure enough, they appear.
I love pretending. I can go anywhere in the world. I can bring the world to me. I can play with others. And others will come to play with me.
I can do it in different languages, too! How cool is that!?
How’s your pretending?
Is your imagination going wild? Or has it tired out?
My imagination is just getting warmed up.
Come play with me!
