Bill Belew has raised 2 bi-cultural kids, now 34 and 30. And he and his wife are now parenting a 3rd, Mia, who is 8.

A father plays a very important role in every child’s life more so if it is a girl child. For most women their father is the most important man in their life. As he is the first man to enter her life and shower her with his unconditional love.

Though my dad had a business of his own where he devoted twelve to fourteen hours he always made sure he was there for me. When I wanted a playmate to play with he was there. If I had to reach school early he would drive me. My dad is my role model in life. He is the man I will always look up to. Today whatever I am I owe it all to him as he taught me everything I know.

He held my hand when I was a little girl and taught me how to walk. When I started going to school he helped me with all my homework, guided me in my projects and even introduced me to my favorite sports swimming and tennis. There are so many lessons that I learnt from my dad but the one most important lesson of my life which I learnt from my dad is honesty.

Like every other individual, my father too has his own set of  beliefs and values. My dad is a very strong believer of karma. He always tells my brother and myself that honesty and good karma always yield positive results for a human being. What we give to the World is what we get in return. I am fortunate that my parent educated me about such an important lesson of life which is not taught in schools too!
