I often wonder, if Jesus spoke directly to me, what would he ask me to do.
Favorite Lines in History
“One of my favorite lines from a TV program,” my daddy says is the answer to the question, “If you could have dinner with anybody in history, who would it be?”
“I’d like to have dinner with the Dalai Lama.”
“What? Why?”
“More food for me,” the TV personality responded.
We, daddy and I, both laugh at that line. But we both know the person in history we would really like to have dinner with. That person is Jesus. The reason is the same.
“More food for me, us.” Jesus is a never ending source to provide for us.
Favorite Bible Verse
My favorite Bible verse might be from the feeding of the 5,000. But it is not.
One of my favorite Bible verses is Psalm 19:1. “The heavens declare the Glory of God.” When I look at creation I remember that God has made everything from nothing and not so long ago. He can create all that I need also. What I think about God is what I think about Jesus. Jesus is all powerful, too.
If Jesus spoke directly to me I would like for him to say, “Come, have be my side and trust me to take care of you.”
