Jackie Chan may not be the best actor, but he is the best at action comedy.
Jackie Chan amazes me. Largely because he is the same age as me. Moreso because he can do things I never could or will be able to.
The movie “Rob-B-Hood” is a Chan version of ‘Three Men and a Baby’ which was a remake of a 1985 French Film, ‘Three Men and a Cradle.”
But Jackie Chan is Jackie Chan and continues to amaze. 6 reasons why:
1. Jackie Chan is 52 years old and has been acting for more than 40 years. If someone does something for 40 years they are bound to get it right. Chan does.
2. Jackie Chan does nimble and death-defying – guts and physical ability on the big screen. He just recently began using stuntmen because no one could or would do what he does.
3. Jackie Chan can weave complex action scenes with rhythm and grace.
4. Jackie Chan can find humor in the most dangerous situation. Just watch his face.
5. Jackie Chan can choreograph body movement better than anyone. America does not have the attention to detail that someone like Chan does. Chan will not miss by a centimeter…it may cost him his life.
6. Jackie Chan is audacious – having his head used as a drumstick, jumping through/on air conditioner fans.
Chan says he has aches and pains. Me, too. In my gut from laughing and in my cheeks from smiling.
Chan may not be the best actor, but he is the best at action comedy.
