Who hasn’t been to the circus and immediately, probably while still at the circus watching, wondered what it would be like to NOT just watch but to be IN the circus as one of the performers?
If I Were a Circus Performer
Ringmaster? Nah! He or she may be the center of attention, but they don’t deliver the thrills.
Clown? Nope. That job would belong to my daddy. He’s a natural.
Popcorn seller? Un Uh. I’d likely eat away all my profits.
Animal care? Hmm… this one has some serious appeal. But I am afraid of snakes.
Why I Want to be This Circus Performer
Trapeze artist? Well, yeah!! You actually get to fly. Flip. And deliver excitement to the audience. What could sound cooler than listening to the gasps of several hundred people as you let go, stretch out completely, wink at one of the little boys and girls below, then grab on and be grabbed by a friend who’s hands you have literally placed your life in. Or maybe he wants me to catch him? Or both. I get chills, too just thinking about it.
Sharing the Ring with a Veteran Circus Star
Look! There’s Dumbo! He’s stealing the show starting on March 29. But not really. All the people who come to see him will be there to see me, too. Or maybe, wink, wink, it’ll be the other way around.
Who doesn’t love the circus? And what could be better than sharing the circus with Disney?
See you in the air!
About The Dumbo Movie (Synopsis)
From Disney and visionary director Tim Burton, “Dumbo” expands on the beloved classic story where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight.
Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlists former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus.
But when they discover that Dumbo can fly, the circus makes an incredible comeback, attracting persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), who recruits the peculiar pachyderm for his newest, larger-than-life entertainment venture, Dreamland.
Dumbo soars to new heights alongside a charming and spectacular aerial artist, Colette Marchant (Eva Green), until Holt learns that beneath its shiny veneer, Dreamland is full of dark secrets.
“Dumbo” soars into theaters on March 29.
