Jose Luis Garza

Jose Luis Garza

Jose Luis Garza weighed almost as much as Chinese girl’s soccer team – 992lbs! At 47-years old, he died. Emergency workers had to demolish his bedroom wall to get him to the hospital when he had trouble breathing. Their efforts weren’t enough.

Garza lived in northern Mexico, so big that they gave him his own zip code.

He said he lost control of his eating after the deaths of both of his parents within two weeks of each other.

Garza’s inspiration – not a soccer team but Mr. Uribe a fellow who weighed as much as an American NBA starting lineup + a 6th man – 1,236 lbs.

Garza’s family members blamed health workers for not being able to care for Garza. What?! You don’t have a gurney that carry a 1000lb man and a door stretcher to get him out of his bedroom on a moment’s notice?

It’s Garza’s fault. It’s his family’s fault that he died from being too fat and his body not being able to handle the load.

The funeral home couldn’t even cremate him because the ovens aren’t big enough. Garza needed a special coffin built to house his remains for eternity … and the whole side of a hill to find a place to bury him.

I am sorry for his family and friends for their loss. I am sorrier that they let their friend die.
