Everybody at some time or another wishes they had super powers.

People want to be able to read minds. To be invisible. To fly. To have super speed. To be super strong. To get big. To get small.

Elastigirl, aka Helen Parr of the Incredibles has a super power. She can stretch. She can be a parachute. Or a sail. Or reach as far as necessary. Maybe even be a trampoline and catch things.

I wonder – if I had Elastigirl’s super ability to stretch what would I like to do.

How about –

1. Take giant steps: For example – Take one big step from my house to school each morning so I could get there much faster = sleep in. Or take a giant step from my house to the beach. Or to New York City. Or China. Or to the moon? I wonder just how far Elastigirl will stretch before she breaks.

2. Reach anything anywhere – I could pick apples off the highest tree. I would never have to go back home if I forgot something. I could reach back and just grab it.

3. Walk on the sea floor or mountain top – If it is too much of a stretch to just step from California to Asia, maybe I could walk across the sea floor while keeping my head above water. I could walk across the tops of mountains. Gosh, I could grab my ski stuff, step up to the top of the mountain and ski back down. No ski lift or paying lift fees.

I wonder if my brain would stretch, too. I’d like to put all the information in the world in my mind. Especially the ability to speak any language of the world. But I wonder if my brain could hold all the words in the world.

What do you think? What super thing would you like to do if you were Elastigirl?
