Top schools – Shanghai Jiaotong University and Beijing Foreign Studies University also get top pay – Y4000/month ($750ish) within 6 months of graduating.
The average pay for the “State 211 project” – the nation’s largest education project for top universities is about Y2,500 which is still Y500 yen more than those from ordinary universities.
Some 90% of graduates in Beijing get jobs.
About 86% of those grads say they prefer to stay in the city instead of going to the country side.
The most wanted jobs are in:
1. Beijing
2. Tianjin – not too far from the capital
China expects about 5.59 million new graduates this summer, up 12.9% over last year. All the seniors are hoping they are among those grads.
