There’s a little guy, Hu Ge. He is no relation to my wife, Hu Xiangtao or Prime Minister Hu. My wife’s not related to the PM either.  There are lots of Hus in China. There are a lot of every last name in China…anyway….

It seems Hu Ge got himself in trouble for creating a parody of a Chen Kaige film. Chen Kaige is the Chinese equivalent of Hollywood’s Steven Spielberg. For whatever reason, Chen Kaige saw the parody and took offense. His reply was “Put up your dukes.” Or, more accurately, my lawyer is going to take your meager salary (Hu is a freelance video editor for animation and advertising companies).

Well, Chen’s ex-wife decided to get in on the fray and wrote in her BLOG (it’s in Chinese) about how stupid her ex-husband is/was. The actual translation might be something more along the lines of dumber than a frog kidney.

Hu, who (that was fun to write) is also a BLOGGER (also in Chinese) was even harder on Chen.

Suddenly it is Goliath trying to stomp on David’s younger brother. It is the hottest topic on the blogs in China.

Imagine that…a blogger making a difference…in a country where lack of freedom of speech has always been the norm.

Go HU! Write. Hit him with your pen, or, well, your keyboard.
