The number of complaints from tourists in China continues to climb.
More than 10,000 complaints about poor service were filed in China in 2006 according to the State Tourism Administration.
The top four complaints:
1. Travel agencies were the number one target:
a. poor service quality
b. changing travel routes without notice
c. irresponsible guides.
2. Restaurants
3. Scenic spots
4. Transportation
China is expected to become the world’s number one tourist destination within the next 10 years.
Of course, as more and more people head to China, the number of complaints is certain to rise. What is important is the ratio of poor service to the total number of travelers.
How did you find China’s service if you have ever visited?
I never thought anything was poor enough that I would have to file a complaint in the dozens of times that I have visited.
