Bill Belew has raised 2 bi-cultural kids, now 34 and 30. And he and his wife are now parenting a 3rd, Mia, who is 8.

I am 5-years old. That does NOT mean I have been blogging for 5 years. That would be my daddy, though he has been blogging for much longer than that.

I am just 5-years old and half and three-quarters. That’s what I have been telling people. Not sure what it means. It won’t matter anyway because in about 2 weeks I will be 6.

You don’t have to buy me a birthday present, but you could buy a book. Hint, hint.

I have been watching my daddy. Whenever we want to investigate something we get on his phone, my iPad mini or his computer.

He hits letter and sure enough what we want to see pops up.

Well, now I can spell. Not very good at it yet, but I know some words. And I am getting good at word sounds and guessing.

So, two days ago I gave it a try.

Love is an open door. Do you want to build a snowman?

I tried on my iPad mini and I found them! Those are a couple of songs in the new Disney Frozen.

Oh, I already know how to open up Youtube and Netflix and those guys.

Now what I want is to really learn how to spell … and and and to remember where them letters on the keyboard are so I can get faster and faster. And then I can do my investigating.

Learning is fun … so far.

Talk to Bill and others about their experiences raising bi-cultural Japanese-American kids.
