PC Virus

We all get the holiday bug from time to time..gathering with family and friends that we haven’t seen for a long time….lots of preparations and such wear us out…

And then there is that itch, sometimes called a bug, that we wish for a holiday really badly.

Last week was China’s National Day Golden Week.

At last 1 million personal computers were infected with a computer virus says Jiangmin Co, a leading Chinese antivirus

company.

On October 6th – 118,000 computers crashed.

“Viruses have been extremely active during the long vacation because more people chose to stay at home and surf the Internet, shopping online or playing online games.”

The company detected more than 24,000 types of viruses!!!

Of 15,000 companies polled, 65.7% of them have suffered Internet security problems from May of last year to May of this year – up 11.7% from the year before.

The problem – a growing number of profit-driven computer virus writers, hackers, and illegal traders.

Create a virus…then give the solution = money in the bank.

What do you think of people who profit off of making other people hurt, then providing a cure?

Talk to Bill and others about their experiences raising bi-cultural Japanese-American kids.
