Bill Belew has raised 2 bi-cultural kids, now 34 and 30. And he and his wife are now parenting a 3rd, Mia, who is 8.
I have Periwinkle’s digital autograph.
It’s not a picture of what she signed in my autograph book.
Periwinkle wrote her name on my daddy’s telephone and we saved it.
It was fun … because Periwinkle, Tinker Bell, too! both said they had never written their names on a cell phone before.
It was fun and funny to hear them talk like real people instead of like the fairies that they are.
I sometimes pretend to be a fairy or a princess. But when they signed my daddy’s phone I saw them pretend to be real people. Now that was cool!
I have a collection of other autographs and photographs.
Ariel, Aurora, Mulan, Cinderella, Merida, Anna and Elsa, Rapunzel are all in digital form.
Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Snow White, and Tiana are still in my notebook. Maybe I will take a picture and put them up until I meet them and ask them to sign daddy’s phone.
Talk to Bill and others about their experiences raising bi-cultural Japanese-American kids.
