Toyota posted record profits last year – $12.1 Billion.  Compare that to GM which lost $10.6 Billion and Toyota is far far ahead.

Toyota is planning to spend $14.1 Billion on new factories and production lines this year with an additional $8.4 Billion going to R&D of new models and technology.

GM and Ford are restructuring.

Toyota plans to open six new factories including two in China, its first one in Russia and another in Texas.

GM and Ford are closing down plants.

Toyota’s current share price values the entire company at about $218 Billion – 15 times more than GM!!

Toyota CEO Watanabe said: “We’re not thinking about other companies. We’re just trying to meet our own growth goals.”

And in the process of just trying to do things right, Toyota will also become number one.

Toyota is likely to dethrone GM’s 75 consecutive year reign as King of cars sometime later this year.

Oh yeah, and that women want $190 million of it. Geesh!

Talk to Bill and others about their experiences raising bi-cultural Japanese-American kids.

I am disapointed with toyota. I spent $2659 to fix a 1989 toyota truck 2/28/07 after being told that I would only need to fix a crack in the foun exhaust header and the high pressure power steering hose. But less than a month the the truck stopped working while I was on the freeway. Once I returned the truck to toyota I was told the engine had to be rebuilt for $3600.

I bought a Toyota 2007 camry. Two problems exist ..Very bad alignment and the I have to press the accelator all the way dow to get power. I took it to the dealer. One problem was resolved. The problem with the acclerator is not. The car looses power. I want a new car not fix anymore.

    Toyota sucks.

I am shocked to hear that Toyota, a company that has been praised for its higher energy fuel standards, is now banding with American auto makers for lower gas standards. I hope the reason isn’t so that they can make gas-guzzling SUV’s and trucks. Whatever the reason, Toyota does not have the best interests of this planet in mind and is thinking about their own profits more. Why should Toyota be lobbying against the higher standards of 35mpg? Toyota, please bring your best practices to the front so that millions of gallons of gas can be saved. Please have a conscience!
