Bill Belew has raised 2 bi-cultural kids, now 34 and 30. And he and his wife are now parenting a 3rd, Mia, who is 8.
I guess it had to happen sometime.
My mom and dad drugged me, I mean dragged me, I mean I am not sure what they did to me , but suddenly I found myself in the ‘happiest place on Earth.’
I was already pretty happy but never around so many other happy people at the same time. Yeesh! And Wow!
Dish knee land! Funny name for a happy place. My mom usually yells at me when I put my knees in a dish and it lands on the floor. (Editor: Disneyland, of course.)
Another funny thing … On my TV at home, and I do NOT know how they do this, but Cinderella, Snow White, Lilo and Stitch can all speak Chinese, too! How do they do that? I have to look at pictures all day and repeat after mommy.
There seems to be button to push to make those guys speak different languages like that.
Hmm….I wonder if that’s what a belly button is for? Lemme push mine and see what happens.
I’ll get back to you.
Talk to Bill and others about their experiences raising bi-cultural Japanese-American kids.
Nice stuff. Keep it up
