Feng Shui is the ancient Chinese art of design and object placement.

There is British Insurance company that is advising its customers to sprinkle sea salt crystals on car floor mats to help hold back road rage. In their report, they emphasized to NOT do this while driving.

WHY DIDN’T THAT GUY IN FRONT OF ME READ THAT PART!

STOP HONKING YOUR HORN, I’M TRYING TO WRITE A BLOG HERE!

There are, apparently, other things that you can do to create harmony and balance in your car – Clean windows and a clutter free interior allow QI (spiritual goodness – kind of like the holy spirit with a lower case ‘h’) to flow more freely.

If you must talk on your cell phone while driving, and in the Valley everyone MUST – okay, I do it, too – hypocrite that I am – then you should drink lots of water to flush out the ‘draining’ effects of wireless devices. I’m confused. Do we flush them out while we are in the car or later?

Here is one more piece of advice – tie a blue ribbon around the rearview mirror. Even if it doesn’t work, it will look like you got first place for trying.

Question: How do I keep my car facing east all the time?

Talk to Bill and others about their experiences raising bi-cultural Japanese-American kids.

Bill, thanks for the post, but I have a few questions:

What happens when the sea salt mixes with all the salt from McDonalds french fries that are still somewhere under my driver’s seat? Will the slumming effect taint the sea salt’s power?

My spiritual goodness keeps getting fouled up by these *#&@^ bugs who find it necessary to move on to their next life by committing hari kari on my windsheild. Is there any way to avoid the bad karma this illicits?

Is there a shade of blue ribbon I should hang to avoid being mistaken with the “prevent child abuse” blue ribbon and the “clean up Canada’s air” blue ribbon? Should the blue ribbon go before, after, or between the pink breast cancer ribbon, the yellow support our troops ribbon and the red AIDs awareness ribbon?

All this feng shui has me stressed out. I need to go meditate.

As webmaster of http://www.madam-mysterious.com not a feng shui master but maybe you might think about putting a mirror on your windshield?

Mirrors ward off bad spirits in happy abodes 🙂
