Bill Belew has raised 2 bi-cultural kids, now 34 and 30. And he and his wife are now parenting a 3rd, Mia, who is 8.
Yup. It’s true. I got to make an appearance as a special guest lecturer on the cruise ship Constellation. It’s part of the Celebrity feet. (Ed. fleet)
My daddy got invited to be guest speaker on the ship over the New Year’s. The cruise line asked him to bring mommy, too!
So mommy and daddy wanted to bring me. And, gosh, gong gong and poh poh went, too.
Daddy spoke on Social Media. His last talk was – The King of Social Media. Which, of course, is blogging.
I have a blog and a few people have come to my web site. The captain of the ship introduced his little girl who also was on the ship during the holiday. So daddy decided to introduce me to his listeners.

Boy, was I scared. But my daddy was up there. And if he was up there, I knew I’d be alright.
I want to be like my daddy … a little. I mean I don’t want to grow up and have a big belly. But I do want to be able to speak in front of big crowds. And I do want people to care about what I think. And I do want to be a good thinker … like my daddy.
Thank you, daddy for letting me share the stage with you. (Ed. You TOOK OVER the stage. But that’s okay with me).
Talk to Bill and others about their experiences raising bi-cultural Japanese-American kids.
