Corpses in the funeral

This is creepy…way, too, creepy.

When an Indian woman’s husband to be fell down a well and died she couldn’t take the loss. She decided, no matter what, she would go through with the wedding ceremony, then cremate him.

According to Hindu wedding ceremony traditions, the groom was required to sit by a fire…before going into it, I presume…to hear chants and prayers.

Wedding attendees grabbed the dead guy and propped him up during this part.

Once the deed was done…the guy was put into the fire to bake bake bake. Either way, had he stayed alive and got married he would have been in hot water for dying before marrying. Huh?

That is too weird in my book.

Love, endless love, committed love. Baloney. It’s weird.

What do you think of a person marrying a dead guy?

Talk to Bill and others about their experiences raising bi-cultural Japanese-American kids.
