Michael Phelps won 7 gold medals, set 4 individual World records, 5 world records overall, had a faster split leading off the 4 x 100 free relay than the 100 meter winner and could have won an 8th medal had the US team not been disqualified in the prelims because the guy he beat in the 100 fly, false started.

Amazing…the 21-year old, who rumor has it couldn’t beat a rock in a spelling contest, doesn’t have to…because he can swim….really swim…and anybody else can touch him.

He sent Ian Thorpe’s records into retirement along with Thorpe…the question…is there any event that Phelps could NOT win? Seriously.

There is still one year to go to the Olympic Games. Phelps will be 26 for the 2012 London games and 30 for wherever they are held after that.

How many gold medals can one man win?

In eight years we will know…Phelps will have that record.

Talk to Bill and others about their experiences raising bi-cultural Japanese-American kids.
