Princess Belle's Personality

Princess Belle’s Personality

Young people can be pretty superficial. Gosh, old people, too! Perhaps that means that the old people really haven’t grown up yet?

Being superficial is only looking at the outside. Not thinking about the character or what lies beneath in a person.

Superficial is looking at the sparkly, shiny, bling …

It’s easy to do. And there is nothing wrong at noticing the outside as long as you don’t forget that there is always more to a person than what meets the eye.

The Bible says, “Man looks at the outside, but God looks at the heart.” To be sure, God sees the outside, too, but not just that.

How do we learn to look at the inside, too? Is there somebody we know that can show us how it is done?

Look no further than Princess Belle.

With her adventurous spirit and open-mind, no doubt gained from reading so many books, Belle knew there could be, must be something more to the Beast than what she saw.

Too often people are judged by their actions and their appearance when we ought to try to understand their intent and their reasons.

Belle is a good role model for little girls to look up to when they are not thinking deeply about how they look at and treat their friends.

Of course, not all beastly people will turn out to be handsome princes … but you will never know if you don’t try, eh?
