I have been to the Ice-Snow Sculpture Expo in Harbin but not this year’s “Exotic France in Harbin.”

Harbing sits way up in north-east China just south of Siberia.

It’s cold up there.

“How cold, Bill?”

So cold that people tell jokes in December but nobody laughs until March – when the jokes thaw out.

Indeed, my friend and I bundled up and went for a walk in the evening.

Under the temperature display it was -26C.

We wandered up to an old Russian Orthodox Church where there was a loud speaker playing a trumpet solo – I think it was “Swanee River.”

But, the sound was so crisp, so clear, so pure, tears came down and froze to my cheeks.

One of those pleasure moments in life indeed it was for me.

How about you? When/what is one of your best memories?
