Bill Belew has raised 2 bi-cultural kids, now 34 and 30. And he and his wife are now parenting a 3rd, Mia, who is 8.

I have heard that there were/are boys now, ahem, men who grew up with Optimus Prime as their sole role model.

The princesses are NOT my role models. I have a great mommy and a goofy daddy who love me more than enough.

Still there are personality traits that little girls can learn from the Disney princesses that are worth developing.

Disney Princesses’ Personalities

My daddy and I curl up on the sofa and do some online research – search engines, wikipedia, IMDB, Youtube, and such to investigate the princesses, their story background, who plays who and their background. Who wrote what song and sings it when and where.

These things are interesting to us, to me, because I learn what it takes to create such cool things as Disney does.

Daddy says, “Disney doesn’t do junk.”

It’s not our church or our religion. And we are not super pooper fans. But we are fans. For a couple of reasons:

1. Disney is fun

2. Disney offers inspiration

In the coming days I will share with you, my dear readers, some of the traits I have learned from the princesses, some I want to learn and maybe some I don’t.

Thanks for reading!

Hey, my dad and I wrote a book. Please take a look!

5 friends got lost. They must find themselves, find one another, then find their way back home … all while ‘they’ are watching.
