It had to be that the loch ness monster first appeared in China.

China has the first of everything…and the biggest, oldest, earliest….

Happiness abounded when someone (me) reported that the Chinese have their own loch ness monster, too.

But then, upon closer observation it became obvious that it wasn’t the UK’s fictitious creature but the real flesh and bone, Yao Ming…hanging out at the beach with his soon-to-be wife, Ye Li.

Yeah. Yao Ming knows how to have fun,

too.

And he has his priorities right.

When was the last time you went to the beach?

Talk to Bill and others about their experiences raising bi-cultural Japanese-American kids.

  • You’ve got to love the American flag life saver!! Won’t win them many points on the home front, but might get him (or her) an additional endorsement or two back in the States.

BTW, I applaud Yao’s appearances at the Special Olympics and the like. That’s what is really important for China … and for Chinese people, not some goofy sports victory.

Yao 1, National Team Coach 0. Good for Yao. And his family does come first, not his country. We’re not in a war; it’s just basketball. Besides, Yao is demonstrating strong family values, something the government should admire and praise.
