Bill Belew has raised 2 bi-cultural kids, now 34 and 30. And he and his wife are now parenting a 3rd, Mia, who is 8.
Sly Ty, that’s Mika’s daddy, said I could guest blog at his site Silist.
His site is all about Life, Technology, and Fun Stuff – From A Redneck in Silicon Valley.
I live in Silicon Valley. And it’s fun to be here. And I explained why at his site.
You can read my article – Chinese Americans in Silicon Valley – we are not alone when we are different.
I’d rather you take a look at his site than me tell you everything here.
But the point is, there are a lot of us, Chinese American little girls, here in the Valley. And even though we are not different. We certainly are not alone.
In fact, Sly Ty, he owns Sly Bald Guys, has a little girl who is also Filipino. How cool is that? She and I played together at a birthday party.
And by the way, this me writing there and him writing here and linking to each other and so on… not sure what that is all about. But I do know it’s good to have friends.
My daddy has friends. My mommy has friends. And I have friends. Online and in the real world. How cool is that!
How cool is that!
Talk to Bill and others about their experiences raising bi-cultural Japanese-American kids.
