Anglina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been hanging out in India shooting “A Mighty Heart,” a movie about Wall Street Journal correspondent, Daniel Pearl, who was kidnapped and killed in Pakistan.
Jolie decided to do serious public relations work by meeting with the Indian Minister of State for External Affairs in her role as Goodwill Ambassador of United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
I have a hard time seeing the ‘purity’ of her motives here. I want to think that Jolie is genuine, but….
Questions: Can high-profile Hollywood do a genuine good deed? Can someone like Jolie serve humanity?
Is it good for her to use her celebrity status to promote a cause? Or is she serving a cause to promote her celebrity status?
How can we know? Do we need to know? Should we just be content to know that some/many people’s needs are being met?
